Kenya
Have arrived safely in Nairobi. Not impressed. I fear that I am subject to landing in the most miserable city, then am forced to escape to discover the jewels of each country. Get totally screwed for the first time so far. I never got ahold of a cheap hotel in SA, so I was forced to get a hotel room for around 80 USD a night. Screwed. At least it came with free breakfast, and I ate like a GD king. I met my tour, and am apparently rooming with an older Aussie woman named Mary. She has already warned me that she snores. Fabulous. THe group has already laughed at my expense since I dont have a sleeping bag, camping mat, or have been taking malaria pills. Am trying to fanagle one out of the tour guide Martin. I need to bounce, but Ill check back in, god knows when. There wont be any hot water where were going, and i doubt ill find some internet. Love you.

Around the world in 364 days
Paige Rexrode graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in French, and as a gift, received a year long trip around the world from her family. She is a 2002 graduate of SLV High.
She started her trip Saturday, June 28th, and will end it on June 27, 2009. First stop was Johannesburg, South Africa. She will then go on some tours in Kenya and Tanzania. At Christmas she will meet her neighbor, Mary Mulligan in Thailand and in March she will travel with her mom, Sue Rexrode and Judy Ford in China.
“Paige has been in the warm Indian Ocean and during her first week did not meet another American,” her mother reported recently.
After 13 countries her last stop is Canada.
Her progress can be followed http://paigesworldtrip.blogspot.com.
Paige likes to meet new people, eat weird food and will eat almost anything. She packed a small backpack and will stay at hostels and with families she meets through Servas International. In addition to French, she has studied Japanese and she plans to learn a few words everywhere she goes.
You're so famous! Did you know you were going to be a local celebrity, in the great, global city of Felton!? I'm proud to know you - and have the same last name! (And birthday, but I digress...)
